Default Disabling of synchronisation of certain services on a cluster?

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to get peoples input on a suggestion I have recently heard about Synchronisation of certain services on cluster configurations.

The recommendation was to remove HTTP and DNS services from state synchronisation on the cluster?

This would mean that state information for HTTP and DNS connections passing through the HA Cluster would not be synchronised and in the event of failover, the connections would become out of state, requiring the client to re-connect (refresh browser, etc).

The advantage of removing HTTP and DNS from the State Synchronisation would be a reduction in synchronisation traffic and potential increase in performance of the HA Cluster.

Let me know what you think?

If you are having issues related to sync traffic (High CPU; Link saturated), this is one of the first things I would do.
